From the Publisher
About the Author: Enoch
Enoch was a biblical patriarch prior to Noah’s flood. Many consider him to be the first biblical prophet. According to the Book of Genesis, he was the son of Jared and the father of Methuselah. He lived during the Antediluvian period and was, most notably, the great grandfather of Noah.
Genesis 5:22–24 states that Enoch lived for 365 years, which is shorter than other pre-flood patriarchs, who are all recorded as dying at over 700 years of age. The brief recorded account of Enoch in Genesis 5 ends with the words “And he was not; for God took him”.
During his time on earth, however, the Most High charged Enoch with the task of pronouncing judgement on the fallen Watchers and their offspring, the Nephilim. He was summoned to heaven, where he was shown many secrets about what was and what was to come upon the earth, namely the flood. The Book of Enoch contains his astonishing prophetic record, which spans many centuries and aeons in the future.
